Content Creation Services

You have your site, wether its one we created for you or its one you have created yourself, now you are thinking to yourself "now what?".

Over the last few years at BrandBuilders one question we get asked a lot is, "What do I have to do to the site in order to make money from it?". This is always a hard question to answer as there are so many things that can be done to help you increase your chances of making revenue from the site. One important thing in particular, which we will cover in this post, is content creation.

Some people who buy are sites are new to the industry, and believe that they just need to buy the site and it will eventually make money, that is false. The amount of work you put into the site will dictate how much you get out of the site ie. $$. One big thing we mention to both prospective and current clients is the need to continually update your site with fresh content. Google likes sites that have fresh content as they believe someone that is consistently uploading content to their site is one who is staying on-top of the industry oppose to a site that hasn't published new content in the last 5 months, they may see this site as outdated. In all the case studies we have presented, the clients all created content on a routinely basis which was one of the factors that made them successful.

Content creation takes time and resources. You cannot just write an article that you have not researched and choose a keyword that you have not dug into the competition of. If you skip these steps, your content is less likely to rank and your efforts that you put in could yield no results. If you are unsure on how to do this, we have a hands free content creation service that could help you. If you are interested in doing it yourself, please ensure you follow these do's and don'ts when creating your content.

Content Creation: The Do's

  • Do ensure you do a competitive analysis on each of the keywords you are looking to rank for. You don't want to try to go after a keyword that is very hard to go after and only write a 1,000 word article, as it may not do very much.
  • Do create content that has a purpose. Something that either solves a problem or is informative.
  • Do ensure your article will outrank your competitors. This is a combination of usefulness of the article, the length of the article and the readability of the article.
  • Do create a content strategy that you can follow and can be consistent with. Wether its get two articles a week completed or 5 articles every other week, pick something and try and stay consistent.
  • Do ensure you content is a quality piece that is written by native English writers and not $5 on Fiver.
  • Do ensure when uploading your content you are using the best SEO practices to ensure optimum ranking potential.

Content Creation: The Don'ts

  • Don't just write an article for the sake of writing an article without doing proper research.
  • Don't cheap out on your articles if you are not writing them yourself. $5-$10 articles are not going to produce quality.
  • Don't just publish your content and never look at it again, go back to it from time to time and upgrade it with new information that may have came out.
  • Don't go after only keywords that have high volume, the higher the volume the more harder it likely is to rank for. Look for some low hanging fruit.
